Installation Instructions: Orion ™ Deluxe Boat Cover

1. Cover sharp points (such as windshield corners) with cloth or sponge tape to avoid stressing or tearing your boat cover.
2. Drape your cover over your boat with the tapered end marked FRONT at the bow.
3. Pull your cover below the rub rail around the entire boat the end of the buckle opposite the toothed end). Then tighten the strap on the other side.
4. Your cover includes quick release straps that secure your cover to your boat. There are long straps with clips on two ends and three short straps that have a clip on one end and a loop on the other. Locate the shortest strap with the looped end. Push the loop through the bow eye on your boat, run the clip end of the strap through the strap loop, and clip the strap into the socket above on your cover.
5. Locate the remaining two straps with looped ends, these are for the stern. Secure the looped end of each strap to your trailer or boat and clip into the corresponding cover socket above.
6. The hem below the rub rail of your cover tightens with two cam buckles at the stern. (They are covered by a fabric flap.) Tighten one of the two straps exiting the cambuckles by pulling it away from the toothed side of the buckle. (To loosen the strap press down the end of the buckle opposite the toothed end.) Then tighten the strap on the other side. Repeat until the bottom of your cover is snug against the hull.
7. The remaining long straps secure the sides of your cover. To attach a strap clip one end into a socket sewn on your cover. Toss the unconnected end of the strap under your boat then connect the end to the corresponding socket on the opposite side of your cover.
8. After attaching ALL of the straps tighten all the straps so that your cover is snug and even across your boat. Reattach the protective cover over the stern cam buckles.

Notes: Before driving / towing, check that all straps are tight and firmly attached. After driving a couple of miles, it’s a good idea to recheck your boat cover. Be sure your cover is completely dry before you store it for any extended period.

Care And Cleaning

If your boat cover becomes dirty, it can be cleaned with lukewarm water and a soft brush. DO NOT USE SOAP on your Orion Cover - it can damage the protective coatings on the canvas fabric.
